Imagine a leisurely summer afternoon, lounging in a park, while listening to live Bluegrass music, sipping delicious local brews and enjoying lawn games. Redwood City is offering this idyllic scenario with a brand new series for 2018, named Pub in the Park. During four Saturdays from June to September, we'll stock our British-style inflatable pub with quality beers on tap from local breweries. Pub in the Park offers a laid-back space to hang with friends and family and enjoy some cold ones.

The 80th Annual 4th of July Parade by the Peninsula Celebration Association – a Family 4th – is the premier holiday parade in the region and takes place in the heart of Downtown Redwood City. The entire community is invited to celebrate this 4th of July tradition with event host Peninsula Celebration Association and the City of Redwood City. This treasured event brings thousands of excited spectators to enjoy an incredible array of parade floats and numerous family festivities. After the parade and festival, spectators can enjoy a spectacular 4th of July fireworks show launched from the Port of Redwood City.

Courthouse Square will be transformed into a festive, beautiful, and fun setting in celebration of this important patriotic holiday in the Mexican culture. Kids and families will love the Hands on the Arts crafts area, everyone will enjoy trying authentic Mexican food from local restaurants, and there will be an authentic Flag Ceremony conducted by Consul General de Mexico. The Square will be filled with colorful and glamorous Ballet Folklorico dancing, live Mariachi music, and a very special live performance by a great musical act. This is a FREE community celebration!

For the fifth year, Redwood City brings Oktoberfest to Downtown Redwood City, featuring a fabulous traditional German Oktoberfest setting and live entertainment. Join friends and neighbors in a huge decked-out Oktoberfest tent on Courthouse Square - complete with over 1,100 feet of "family style" bench seating, lots of fun and merriment, music, dancing, contests, cold beer and other beverages, food, and more!

11TH ANNUAL SALSA FESTIVAL

Redwood City is fired up for its 11th annual Salsa Festival!  Salsa music, salsa dancing and salsa tasting are at the forefront, featuring three stages with a variety of music, including Salsa, Latin Jazz and Reggae. The Salsa Tasting & Competition unites amateur and professional Salsa Chefs seeking fun, prizes and Salsa Glory, and showcases succulent salsa for festival-goers to sample and take part in the judging.

10TH ANNUAL SALSA MAKING CONTEST WINNERS

Thank you to all of the Salsa Teams who came out to the 10th Annual Salsa Festival and competed for salsa glory! Congratulations to all of our Salsa Winners, and thank you to all who tasted and cast their votes! Reigning Hot Salsa Champion for the past 4 years, Team #5, La Catrina, have not only held onto their Hot Salsa crown but have taken back the People's Choice award, which they won in 2014 and 2015! DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Come celebrate the Day of the Dead, a beautiful ritual in which Mexicans happily and lovingly remember their loved relatives who have passed. There will be music, dancing, an elaborate altars contest, a procession down Broadway, food court, vendors, as well as free activities for children. There will also be a community Chalk Art Mural that everyone is encouraged to participate in. FREE ADMISSION.
